About Potter Woodwork
Mark Potter is a 5th generation native of the Columbus Texas area and resides a few miles north of Columbus, Tx where his studio, and workshop are located also. With a background of wood and metal working supported by mechanical abilities, Mark creates enhancements for the home, church, and businesses in the Central Texas area.
Mark’s work incorporates consultation, design, and execution into furnishings such as doors, windows, curved staircases, architectural trusses, furniture, and non-functional art form pieces. These unique items are achieved by methods of special milling, carving, turning, and custom mouldings.
Mark uses woods native to Texas in his projects, as well as other woods from around the world depending on the desire of his customer. Mark also incorporates iron into his work, and occasional hammered artwork into copper clad doors.
